Medjugorje Apparition Software Download
Medjugorje is a town in Bosnia and is an unofficial Catholic pilgrimage site. There, the Virgin Mary is said to have appeared three times. The first and second apparitions were said to have occurred on Apparition Hill, and the third apparition is said to have occurred on Cross Mountain. The town is also known for the dripping liquid that appears on a statue of the “Risen Christ," which stands near St. James Church.
The spiritual revival in Medjugorje has prompted the commercialization of religious tourism, with thousands of tourists, ice cream stands, and souvenir stalls. But despite the commercialization of the area, the local villagers still gather for prayer in small groups. The children claim to have visions from the Virgin and are said to have received them from the Virgin.
The apparitions began when Marija Lunetti was sixteen years old. She has four children, and the family divides their time between Italy and Medjugorje. The government of Sarajevo is worried about the clerical nature of Medjugorje and wants to prevent the visionaries from coming to the Apparitions. The young visionaries, however, accept the government's offer of leisure time.
The first pilgrims to Medjugorje began to come to the village in June 1981. By then, the town's St. James Church was no longer large enough for the influx of people. To accommodate the crowds, the church was expanded and an exterior altar and prayer area were built. The new altar has a simultaneous translation of the Mass, and simple repetitive hymns provide a reverential setting for Adoration. The shared spiritual experience and the sacred silence have moved many to a pilgrim's heart.
